There certainly seems to be a few more properties on the market in Teddington with more for sale boards up around the roads and the Teddington estate agents leaflets seem to be coming through everyone's doors letting us know about the sales and rental opportunities on a regular basis.

Hoarding is removed from Normansfield, Kingston Road, Teddington
We've got a variety of architecture to choose from in Teddington and last week John Avery, aka The Teddington Architect, wrote an interesting blog, with photos, about 100 years of homes built in Teddington last week.
Looking at more recent developments, the hoarding has finally been taken away from the boundary at Kingston Lane and Normansfield Avenue revealing the Normansfield Hospital building. The building is being restored and is now called Gabriella Park Gardens. Prospective purchasers can visit the marketing suite and look at a new apartment, duplex, lodge house or loft. Or you can take a preview here.
The hoarding is also off on a site in Langham Road, where a new architect designed house has gone up in place of a bungalow. This property, with 5 bedrooms, nearly hits the £3,000,000 mark, which is unusual for property in the centre of Teddington. The house is marketed by Hamptons International, Teddington's newest estate agent. What do you think of the design?
The Boat House on Broom Road is also up for sale with Hamptons. With 7 bedrooms, and backing on to the river, this house is a 'price on application' but we suspect that this house will be in the region of £3,000,000+.
The 9 luxury flats at Park House, by Travelodge are now on the market, marketed by Milestone Residential. A two bedroom flat is available at £365,000.
Building work continues at Somerset Road by Linden Homes and around other parts of Teddington. There seems to be a steady stream of Victorian and Edwardian houses holding values and Gascoigne Pees say "the big question affecting our local market in Teddington and surrounding areas is the extent to which the safe haven effect continues in London and offsets the effect of a weakened global economic outlook."
What do you think of property prices this year in Teddington? Are you trying to buy, sell or rent?
