Richmond Council this week issued a reminder to residents that they have one more week to submit their applications to nominate any roads they feel are in need of improvements.
More than 1,400 nominations have been received so far this year. Those that are chosen will receive funding from the Council’s annual Community Roads and Pavement Fund which will be divided equally between the 14 villages that the Borough is divided into.
Cllr Chris Harrison, Cabinet Member for Highways and Street Scene said:
“We’ve already had more than 1,400 applications for this round of funding. This is the final call for residents to highlight specific roads and pavements affected by potholes, trip hazards and tree roots."
“We would like residents to come forward to nominate areas which they feel we ought to be focusing on.”
If you know a road or footpath that needs to be repaired, complete the nomination form now at: www.richmond.gov.uk/fund or pick up a form at your local library or the Civic Centre. Deadline for nominations is 13 December.
