Whilst it’s fun to look at, the icy conditions has caused huge disruption for people travelling on South West trains, buses were delayed yesterday and all the side roads are very icy and dangerous.
Today, the buses are busy with people opting to travel on the local 281, 285 and R68 buses that run through Teddington.
Many Teddington people have been leaving their cars at home and getting out and about on foot instead, and there’s been a distinct lack of Teddington cyclists.
There’s been a steady flow of information on Tweet Teddington with people giving immediate updates to other Teddington people travelling. If you’re not on Twitter, please join so you can share information. Any information that is put on Teddington People goes straight through to Twitter and Facebook too.
Teddington School has been kept open throughout the week although the through roads to and from the school are very icy and the pupils have been cleaning the snow off cars for snowball fights! There's some great new photos of the interior of the school posted by a reader here.
Most people are wrapped up in layers of coats, hats and scarves but some local men have been spotted out and about in T-shirts earlier this week and a postman was seen wearing shorts on his post bike in Broad Street!
The bars and restaurants have been busy during the evening with people still trying to get out to enjoy the evenings and to have the first of the Christmas parties. On Wednesday evening The Clock House pub and The Teddington Arms were very busy.
If you’re an Il Gelato fan, unfortunately, the shop closed until 6th December due to an electrical fault.
Down at Teddington Lock today – it’s frozen! Does anyone have any photographs do share them on the Snow Gallery!
