It has been announced that new electricity cables need to be installed under the river by UK Power Networks. The work will start next month in May.
There will be some 300 metres of new cables being installed - from the Lower Teddington Road right through to Canbury Gardens in Kingston. The cables will be placed within the pipeline underneath the Thames using a technique called directional drilling.

The dates for the Teddington Lock Bridge closure have been changed. The bridge will no longer be closed at the weekend - but will be closed tomorrow Thursday, 28th October and Friday, 29th October. If you are travelling to and from Ham and Kingston, the buses are 285 and 281 to and from Kingston and the 65 bus goes from Kingston - Ham - Kingston.
