Georgia Grant and Beth-Anne Lumb both of Teddington, joined their fellow competitors from Kingston Trampoline Academy based at Kingston College, to compete in the British National Trampoline and Tumbling Championshopis at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, on the 24th & 25th July. The event saw 900+ competitors from every corner of the UK, all who had competed through-out the season with the one aim of making this prestigious event. On offer were the National Team Titles, Synchro Titles and the Individual titles.

On the Saturday, they compete in the team events with the top 8 from each catergories making in through to the coverted top 8 final individual places to compete on the Sunday for the coverted British National Titles. In recognition of making the top 8 in the country all are gaurenteed a medal, at stake are the final positions.

Georgia, at just 13 who has only been competeing in the exciting sport of Double Mini Tramp for 2 years, and was performing in her first National finals - showed concentration and determination beyond her years, performing a double somersault with a perfect landing to secure her Finals place, and ended up with a credible 5th place medal - showing great promise for the 2011 season. In addition she helped her U15 girls team secure Team Gold!

Beth -qualified for two events this year Trampoline and DMT - a great acheivement while taking GCSE's at the same time! She gave solid performances and made both top 8 finals, narrowly missing bronze in the trampoline by .1, but spurred on by this result pulled out a great jump to secure gold and a DMT British National Title, a statisfying result after working hard through-out the year. A team silver also was achieved with another Teddington resident Becci De Gaston Webb being part of that team.

Many youngsters from Teddington train and compete with Kingston Trampoline Academy - if you wish to find out more please visit their website: www.ktacademy.co.uk.
