Shambles is really nice to have as a local - it's quite an old style wine bar and we have a few favourites on the menu (minute steak often hits the spot) but trying something new usually pays off. We are conscious of prices going up - so not going quite as often.

Set in a 17th century listed building there is a large garden to the rear for Al Fresco wining and dining, including a boule alley.

Sadly not a place for the male of the species anymore. There is simply not enough food on the plate to fully enjoy the meal. The high prices set , suggests no excuses for stingy food distribution !

i've heard some mixed reviews from people about Shambles, but I'm not sure what they're experiencing when they go there, as I've always had a good time. The food is more expensive than a lot of places, but that's because it's delicious! Nice piano, and a fire too. Thumbs up Shambles.
