Simply Thai Restaurant reaches semi-final of The F Word

Many local residents and employees turned on their televisions recently and were surprised to see some recognisable local restaurants featured on the Channel 4 programme by Gordon Ramsey.
People were then stunned to see Gordon arriving right on our doorstep in Teddington and filming inside and outside Teddington’s very own Simply Thai Restaurant on the Kingston Road.
Gordon popped in to the restaurant, loved the food and we all crossed our fingers to see if owner Patria Weerapan would win the opportunity to cook in the F Word kitchen.
We watched closely and Gordon made the call to Teddington – and made the right call! Patria won the opportunity to cook for the guests on the live show!
We couldn’t wait for the next show to see how Patria and her assistant were doing and then Thursday night arrived and they were cooking on the live show and ...won!
The Restaurant was then subjected to secret diners spying on behalf of Gordon and then a large coach of hungry passengers being dropped off for dinner!
The town was really talking now!
We watched right up until the nail-biting semi-final where Patria and her assistant cooked for VIP guests at the flagship Restaurant Gordon Ramsey, Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea.
The pride of Teddington came second in the semi-final but winners for Teddington!
Congratulations to Patria and her team!
