The new practice will provide GP appointments from 8am – 10pm on weekdays, and from 8am – 9pm on weekends and bank holidays. It has been commissioned by NHS Richmond and will be operated by Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare, in partnership with Thames Health Collaborative (a group of local GPs) and the League of Friends of Teddington Memorial Hospital.
The practice will offer a range of consultation options, with walk-in appointments for registered or unregistered patients, as well as pre-booked appointments, telephone and email consultations for registered patients.
The nurse-led walk-in centre at TMH opened in 2004 and already sees over 50, 000 patients a year for a range of minor injuries and illnesses. The GPs in the new practice will be working closely alongside the nurses at the walk-in centre.
Joan Mager, Chief Executive of NHS Richmond said:
“Teddington Memorial Health Centre is a key part of the NHS Richmond strategy to provide healthcare that is accessible, convenient and closer to home. The longer opening hours of the practice, as well as the walk-in service, mean that more people will be able to get a GP appointment when they need to.”
Dr Kate Moore, a local GP, speaking on behalf of the GP Collaborative said:
“This is a great opportunity for local GPs to work together, and with walk-in centre staff, to ensure that local people have access to a top quality, convenient service, which meets their needs. “

I think I asked for other people's views on local GP surgeries before but did not get a response.
