Back to school approaching...

The summer school holidays are in the final stages and parents and children are preparing to go back to school – after a great summer! There are still some events on in Teddington, such as the church run events at The Baptist Church in Church Road –

· The Rock Cafe for children between 11 and 16 at 730pm on Friday 27th August

· The Big Top Children’s Holiday Club from Monday, 23rd August until Friday, 27th August

If you are looking for back-to-school stationery then British Bookshops and Stationers at 66 Broad Street have a large selection of stationery available.  There are plenty of books, newspapers and magazines on offer for adults too!  Opening hours are from 7.30am-6.30pm Monday to Saturday and 10.00am - 4.00pm on Sunday.  There is 10% off your purchase if you sign up for their online newsletter.

Text books and children’s books are also available at Waterstones, 65-67 High Street.  If you are looking for art materials then you can visit Selwyn Smith Studio, 80 High Street.

If you are new to Teddington, you need to look further afield to Kingston for school uniforms - in the larger department stores.  Although if your children are 16 they will be looking forward not to have to wear uniforms at the colleges outside Teddington!

If your children are going to Teddington School there is a uniform shop on the premises.  The school also an arrangement with the Shooting Star Hospice at 11 Broad Street to recycle old uniforms.
