We previously reported that the Londonist photography challenge for 2010 is The Thames Barrier to Teddington.  Did you enter the competition?  Well, now the Londonist have now announced the ‘top 40’ photographs which went on view at Foyles Gallery last weekend.  If you didn’t get a chance to check the exhibition out, you can review the winning photographs here.

If you want to take a look at the total entries of amazing photographs of the river taken for the competition  – 285 in total - you can review them here.

And if you’re interested in exactly how the river has changed through the years, we’ve also located a very interesting website which has captured the changing riverscape from 1937 onwards here.

After taking at look through these photographs, we thought this week that we should publish the Teddington People photographs onto our own account too, so here are some photographs uploaded and we plan to add to the collection over time.  Do feel free to add any photographs and onto Picture Gallery too.

If you’d like to see some more Teddington photography our fellow tweeter @alanteddington has a Teddington group where he shares his collection of photographs

We located this particular photograph from whatsthatpicture of the railway bridge between the High Street and Broad Street - the view has hardly any changed at all!  What do you think?

The picture gallery is regularly updated on Teddington People and with this article here are some photographs taken on the recent walk down to the new apartments at Lock View on Twickenham Road.
