Are you super fit already, want to be fitter or want to start exercising as part of your new year resolutions? Often getting started is the hardest decision to make but the good news is that there are many Teddington people to help.
-
Foundry Fitness, Stanley Road, Teddington
-
Physio and Therapy, Broad Street, Teddington
-
Synchronicity, Church Road Teddington
If you’re looking for somewhere private, Foundry Fitness is a private gym offering a personal service to clients. Assessment and exercise plans are put together for you and there’s private showering facilities too. Stuart and Martin offer programmes for school children and for businesses too. They have a running club and a boxing circuit club “the biggest bargain in the Borough” at £5.
Local experts at Physio and Therapy help with exercise programmes and physio treatments. With the advanced equipment and treatments available, Paul and his team are experts in all types of levels from beginners up to Olympic level, keeping people on top of their game. We often see famous locals such as Mo Farah and Tim Brabants visiting. Paul has a local running club and if you’re a keen runner then he can help you with running correctional techniques. You can see some great photographs and full details of the studio and services on the new website.
If you like a swim before or after work, Teddington Pools and Fitness Centre is open from 0630 until 2200 Monday – Thursday. There is a gym and classes programme too and the Leisure Card will give you discounts. If you’re interested or a practising diver, Teddington’s Sub Aqua Club meets at Teddington Pool on Wednesdays.
If you enjoy dancing and haven’t tried Zumba, then Diego Avila holds classes at The Landmark Arts Centre on Monday evenings from 745pm. For more details and to contact Diego see here.
Fitness First is currently offering a two week trial membership for £27 and a free day gym membership is also available.
Teddington Sports Centre offers a wide range of sports activities, outdoor games and classes, again good discounts are available with a leisure card.
If you’re too busy to go to the gym or go to classes talk to Emma at Synchronicity. Powerplate offers a speedy 25 minute vibration training session for men and women looking to burn fat, strengthen and tone core. To arrange a free trial with Emma call 020 8 274 9573.
New Teddington People member Jessica has announced Kung Fu classes starting in January.
