Work on the former King’s Head pub in Teddington High Street continues during the day and - as I saw yesterday - into the early evening.

The news is this that the Brasserie will open in mid-September.

This seems very optimistic as the pub looks like a bomb site at the moment!

The company will still call the Brasserie The King’s Head and they have designed a web holding page which you can read at http://whitebrasserie.com/

It will be interesting to see how the enterprise takes off – with the competition and popularity of Retro opposite and Sammy’s Bar nearby offering good food.

Although it does appear that the long-standing Sorrento restaurant Noel restaurants are closed permanently.  And Teddington fans of the Chinese take-away opposite The King's Head still await the re-opening!

If you are looking for a job, there will be some employment opportunities at The King’s Head which is always welcome for Teddington residents.

What do you think of the Brasserie coming to Teddington?
