Una has been running Happy Potter Ceramics from a coffee shop in Weybridge on Saturdays and Sundays and her Teddington shop will be opening in Broad Street over the next few weeks.
Una told us that the new Teddington shop will be child-friendly - from the bouncy chairs for mums or dads to put their babies in to the ‘dino’ - to the heart-shaped sandwiches for the kid's lunch boxes! There will be a big garden at the back of the shop for when the weather’s good. And there will be 'Buggy Park' for any push chairs to be ‘parked.’ The shop will back on to the Tesco car park which means parents can bring children though the back garden safely.
You will be able to choose from a wide selection of pottery painting - bisque, for example mugs, teapots, or as pictured - the cupcake cookie jar, which you paint and Una ‘finishes off’. For those who may have done enough pottery painting you will be able to design your own umbrella or tote bag etc.
Alternatively, kids can draw while parents relax with a coffee and fresh sandwiches made to order, a wide selection of different teas and coffee, cup cakes, flapjacks, brownies, crisps and jars of old fashioned boiled sweets – all with an ‘arty’ touch.
Una plans to offer kids parties, babies foot prints, commissions, pottery to go kits for people who want to have a go at home and much more.
Events will be available throughout the year, the first one being will be a Kids Halloween Party where kids can dress up and paint some scary pieces!
The shop will be open:
Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm
Sunday 11am-5pm
Out of hours bookings are welcome on request
Watch Teddington People for details of the Opening Day.
