The popular blog Londonist has announced a photography challenge.

They are looking for entries of photographs of the stretch of the River Thames from the barrier to Teddington. For criteria and details of how to enter the challenge please review the Londonist blog.   The competition will close at the end of September.  Some photographs have already been uploaded at project flickrpool

Teddington has many local talented photographers who could submit entries.  If you weren't aware, Teddington's Talent includes Desi Fontaine, the renowned Master Photographer, Chair and Judge of the Master Photographer’s Association Competitions, Photography Lecturer, Teacher and Trainer.  Desi has her studio in Teddington and is a resident.

After the competition closes, the Londonist have secured an exhibition of the photographs.   This will be held at Foyles Gallery so watch the Londonist blog for more details.  The exhibition will run from Monday, 11th October until Sunday, 24th October.  The exhibition will potentially mean some good PR opportunities for talented photographers as it is included in Photomonth 2010.

Will you be entering the competition?  Or will you be uploading your own photographs of Teddington onto the Teddington People gallery?

If you want to get started with photography or update your equipment, there is plenty of selection available at Broad Street's Teddington Photographic.

Keep us posted!
