Traffic chaos predicted for Teddington

Major work is planned for Hampton Wick railway bridge next month.
This will mean that the roads around the main route to and from Hampton Court, Hampton Wick and Kingston (Upper Teddington Road) will cause queues and delays.
Fortunately, this is after the Hampton Court Flower Show which brings additional traffic to the area.
Network Rail plan to begin the work in late July and a public meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, 24th June at 730pm hosted by Richmond Council to discuss options and hear comments from Teddington people.
The venue for the meeting is:
Bullen Hall, Bennett Close, Hampton Wick - see map here.
The plans up for discussion are to either:
Fully close Upper Teddington Road for two months, diverting traffic and the 281 and 285 bus routes through Church Grove, Sandy Lane and Park Road.
Or
To close one side of the road and have temporary traffic lights for 10 weeks and to have weekend closures.
If you are unable to attend the public meeting, it is possible for you to leave your comments at Richmond Council on 08456 122 660 or online at www.richmond.gov.uk.
