Beating Bowel Cancer, the nationwide charity based in Teddington, visited Westminster this week for a Parliamentary Reception.

The annual Be Loud Be Clear Reception, where the charity talks to MPs and The Speaker of the House, called for all bowel cancer patients to be given real treatment choices.

Their report Equity and Excellence for Bowel Cancer has been published.  The report outlines recommendations for changes to the NHS that will improve outcomes for bowel cancer patients.

You can read a copy of the report here bit.ly/w5aJ6C.

During the event there were plenty of tweets and retweets raising awareness and using #BLBC. Teddington People joined in during the afternoon!  If you missed it this year, then do tweet next year!

There is plenty of useful information and sporting events that you can look at (and maybe sign up for!) on the Beating Bowel Cancer website. As ever, early diagnosis is key.
