TW11 - As Good As W1 Any Day!

Fed up of the rain? Tired of tube strikes? Then you need to spend more time in Teddington!
So says local restauranteur, Vincent Gerbeau, maitre d' of the award-winning Retro Bistrot on the High Street.
"A journalist recently had the temerity to suggest Teddington was "too local" and that got me thinking there needs to be a campaign to let London know there is more to the capital city than W1 or even SW1!" says Vincent passionately (he is French after all!).
This comes hot on the heels of the outrage over Teddington's inclusion in a light-hearted book, **** Towns Returns, which claims to identify the country's 50 least desirable locations It named London as the worst place to live in the UK with Teddington taking some of the blame.
Teddington, it seems, is much misunderstood...
"We are right behind all local campaigns to highlight the joys of our Teddington business gems but officially - since the demise of the ancient county of Middlesex - we are in Greater London. And what makes London great is the fact that we - in Teddington - are a part of it! Central London does not have the monopoly on great restaurants and successful businesses," he continues, "so let's see more effort by big local businesses to entertain their clients right here in Teddington. There's no need to travel for quality - it's on our doorstep!"
TW11 - a postcode with two more letters and just as much pizazz as W1!
Oh, and while you're here Vincent would like you know that they are celebrating their new Monday opening hours (open 7 days a week) by launching a very simple competition to win a free meal for two at his award-winning establishment. All details right here: www.retrobistrot.co.uk/competitons
