Metropolitan Police advice on public disorder in London

As the public disorder riots reached West London last night, the Metropolitan Police has issued a special information sheet to businesses. To view or download the full Information Sheet please click here.
Local officers from the Borough have been deployed to Croydon, Acton, Ealing and West Ealing and there will be vast numbers of police offices in London (and other parts of the country) this evening.
Advice to the public is to keep safe around the main London stations if you're travelling around in London.
You can always check London based Local People sites such as Balham People and Islington People for up to date information.
Today Tooting station has been closed. There are rumours that Wimbledon shops will be closing early this afternoon.

The Metropolitan Police will be releasing photographs of alleged looters on their website and on Flickr.
There are no plans at present to cancel or postpone the Olympic Test Cycle Race travelling through Teddington on Sunday.
