Flood warning issued from Putney to Teddington Weir

The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning from Putney Bridge to Teddington Weir this afternoon.  

Tides are expected to reach up 115 cubic metres per second at around 4pm.  

Low lying coastal land and roads will be affected first.

Locations potentially affected by flooding include Putney Embankment, Chiswick Mall, Thames Bank at Mortlake, Ranelagh Drive, Friars Lane and Water Lane, Riverside and the Embankment at Twickenham and the Towpath below Teddington Lock.

Heavy rain is expected this afternoon in eastern parts of the borough with sunny intervals, which are expected to clear up for tomorrow.
