With plenty of local options available this weekend, an easter egg hunt could be just the thing to take the eggs-citement (and sugar) outdoors.
There's lots of fun to be had locally this Easter. Picture here: Bunnies at Strawberry Hill House.
Here, Twickenham People rounds up five events for families to eggs-plore. Most of these run over the whole holiday weekend and don't need booking but check website links (provided) for up-to-date info and pricing.
1. London Museum of Water & Steam's Easter Steam Up
Make your own Easter bonnet and join an Easter Egg trail taking you through the history of London's watery past at the London Museum of Water & Steam this weekend. The museum's locomotive, Thomas Wicksteed, and the Shand Mason Victorian Fire Engine, will also be in steam along with a collection of Cornish and rotative water pumping engines.
Adults £11, children £5.
Doors open: 11am.
2. Osterley Park and House Cadbury's Easter Egg Trail
Kids will receive a make-it-yourself pith helmet, a Trail Journal containing all the clues they need to complete the trail and an Eggsplorer Passport to be stamped along the way, as well as a Cadbury Egghead. Explore the gardens where you can spot flowers and wildlife, or have fun on rope swings and build a den at the play trail as you try and crack the clues on your own Easter adventure.
Normal garden admission & £3 per trail. National Trust members free & £3 per trail
Gates open: 11am; Last admission time: 4pm.
3. Ham House Cadbury's Easter Egg Trail
Follow clues around the garden to win a Cadbury's Egghead.

All Tickets £3 (per trail plus normal admission).
4. Easter at Hampton Court Palace
Join the festivities as Hampton Court Palace launches its 300th anniversary celebrations of the Georgian era. From the arrival of King George 1 on board the Royal Barge Gloriana, dancing white horses, Georgian chocolate making demonstrations and an Easter trail, there will be lots to entertain.

5. Bouncing Bunnies at Strawberry Hill House
Turn yourself into an Easter bunny by making bunny masks and ears, then have fun bouncing around the garden.
