Exciting Chinese New Year Fireworks evening in Teddington

On Friday night the Friends of St Mary's and St Peter's School held a Chinese New Year Fireworks evening to welcome in the Year of the Dragon.

Luckily, it was a dry and mild evening and there were hundreds of Teddington people who came out to enjoy the evening at the NPL Sports Ground in Queens Road.  

The evening started at 530pm and the BBQ was lit just outside the Pavilion.  There was a roaring trade with people queuing up to sample the food from Millers Butchers.  Drinks were supplied from Tesco's and the sponsors were Jackson Stops Staff.  

Light sabres were available for the kids and there was a licensed bar for adults in the Pavilion!  The Fireworks started going off at 630pm on the main field and it was a great show – with screams coming from the grown-ups and the kids!  

It was a great atmosphere all round and let's hope it all happens again next year – thanks to the The Friends of St Marys and St Peters for another great event!
