The Cavan Bakery opened at the weekend in Broad Street and yesterday, a new off licence opened its doors on the Kingston Road.

The new Teddington shop provides larger premises for The Cavan Bakery, an independent family business since 1929.  The shop joins the smaller 'sister' shop in the High Street, the two shops at either end of Hampton Hill High Street and one in Hampton village.

Many local residents grew up with the bread and some are still eating it today!   So now Teddington people don't have to go far for a Cavan Bakery bread top-up .  There's also the temptation of a selection of cakes and hot pastries too.  The croissants look good as do the strawberry tarts!  Have you tried anything yet?

The bakery also provides local Teddington offices with bread, such as the NPL and the Lensbury Club and offers outside catering services.

If you haven't been in yet you can see a list of the Cavan Bakery products here.

A new off licence has opened yesterday on Kingston Road on the site of the old Wine Rack.  The shop was sold at auction but has remained empty for many months.  With the lease now taken, it appears that the new shop is independent and is waiting for a new name.  So if you're passing and need some snacks, drinks or even some champagne, you can!
